RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT
FOCUSED ON INNOVATION
Our new 50,000 sq. ft. research and development facility is being constructed adjacent to our flagship cultivation facility at our Kelowna campus. This is North America’s first dedicated cannabis R&D facility focused in advanced cultivation techniques and systems including growth media, nutrient formulations, irrigation and lighting systems, plant genetics and integrated growing systems. Operated as a strategic alliance with Hawthorne Gardening Company, this facility brings two of the world’s leading experts together to be at the forefront of cannabis cultivation.
Researching advancements in pest pathogen systems, nutrients, fertigation and lighting systems.
Creating new patented equipment and innovative processing techniques post cultivation.
Developing extraction technologies as well as terpene preservation and contaminant removal.
Researching genetic engineering and selective breeding to create specialized products.
Investigating ways fertigation and controls data can optimize yields.
Advancing seed, clone and mother plant production including in-house seed bank.
“We have Canada’s most advanced cultivation facility and grow team. And now, with our collaboration with Hawthorne, we will stay on the leading edge of cultivating ultra-premium cannabis products cost effectively for years to come.”
